Not pressed wood; this baby is solid...and heavy. Very easy to assemble using bolts and is very sturdy when complete. Built-in levelers on the legs if you need them; I didn't.

I've only had it a few days. It looks good in my kitchen and looks like it will be serviceable for a long time.

This table is a gorgeous,heavy, stable and quality product!! The hardest part of the assembly was removing the staples (holding bag of screws) from the underside of table.
